Returns

All our blinds are custom made to your specifications, therefore we do not accept returns unless the product is damaged. Please refer to our "How to Measure" videos before you place your order.

Oder Free Samples

Be sure to order samples,up to 10 free! Samples give you a chance to see how our products will look and feel with your home’s paint color, décor and lighting. All of which can make a color look different than it appears online.

Measure Video and Instructions

After you order free samples and you have decided on the perfect window covering, it’s time to measure your windows. Follow our measuring instruction in our swatch kit and/or watch our “How to Measure” video which will give you easy step-by-step instructions. No need to do any deductions, we do it for you.

*Please note all products will have a +/- 1/8” variance.

Prices are subject to change without notice. Saving an order in your account does not guarantee price. So please process your order quickly to ensure you receive the price at the time of selection.

Order Processing Fee

What is an order processing fee? This fee is applied to every order, no matter the quantity. It allows us to absorb the escalating costs of manufacturing many of our custom-made window coverings in the USA and helps us maintain free shipping on all our products (under 94” width).

Warranty

Per Shade:

3 Year Limited Warranty- FREE

Warranty is for the DIY Blinds original customer, for window treatments that are properly installed in the original window, with proof of purchase.

Warrant covers:

  • Operating mechanisms (includes cords) and other parts are covered for 3 years. You will be charged for replacement parts on any order that’s more than 3 years old.
  • Manufacturer defects of clutch and parts.

Warranty Does NOT Cover, but is not limited to the following:

We cannot be responsible for damage caused by weather, children, pets, insects& neglect in handling;

  • Defects that result from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidents, alterations, exposure to the elements, and excessive humidity. Examples of normal wear and tear include, but are not limited to: fraying of fabrics, loss of color intensity, exposure to salt air, damage from insects or pets, and normal fading from sunlight.
  • Normal maintenance associated with motors and related accessories include but are not limited to, recharging and replacement of remote batteries;
  • Any condition or damage resulting from removal of the product or reinstallation in any window or application.
  • Products unusable by reason of miss-measurement or assembly or installation not in accordance with product installation instructions.
  • Products unusable by reason of improper assembly or installation.
  • Shipping costs
  • Variations in texture, construction or color of natural products, and natural color changes to materials that take place over time.
  • Product failure due to any of the following:
    • Improper installations, operation or cleaning
    • Normal wear and tear
    • Excessive exposure to heat, sunlight or moisture
    • Damage from children, pets or insects
    • Improper cleaning
    • Alterations of any kind

Resolution of Warranty Issues:

  • Repair or Replace: We will determine, at our discretion, whether the product will be repaired or replaced.
  • Product Discontinuation: If a product replacement is needed for a discontinued product still under warranty, we will provide a substitute product that matches as closely as possible. In the event that there are multiple products in the same room, only the defective product will be repaired or replaced. Every effort will be made to match the original specifications.
  • Shipping Costs: After a 1 year period, the customer is responsible for any shipping costs associated with warranty repair.
  • After Warranty Expiration:
    • After warranty expires, many products can still be repaired for a nominal charge.

Resolution Procedures: Contact us via email at customerservice@diyeasyblinds.com and provide your original order number. We reserve the right to inspect any part or component prior to replacements. In order for repair or replacement to be made an order number including purchase date must be presented to us. The exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages may vary according to state of purchase, therefore the above limitations or exclusions may not be applicable to you.

When placing orders, all of your information is processed through our secure server. We utilize industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts all your information before it is sent to us.

Log Files

Like most standard web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather board demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc, are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Special Offers and Updates

We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and newsletters. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to opt out of these types of communications. Please see the opt-out options at the bottom of all such communications.

Payment and Fees

Payment Options

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express online. In some cases, coupon discounts may be offered via coupon code; note that only one coupon code may be used per order. In the unlikely event that there is an error in pricing, we reserve the right to correct the pricing.

Sales Tax

In compliance with state tax laws, we are required to charge state sales tax.

Order Changes, Cancellations, Remakes, and Refunds

Because our products are custom made to your exact specifications, they are not suitable for resale in the ordinary course of business. Therefore, it is important that you are sure of your decisions before you finalize your purchase.

  • We do not accept changes or cancellations once the order is placed.
  • Address changes are also not permitted once the manufacturer has shipped your product.
  • Under no circumstance can we either refund any money or issue any credits on credit cards.
  • On extremely rare occasions there may be delays caused by out-of-stock materials, shipping delays, temporary factory overload, holidays, or other factors beyond our control. In the event of a known delay and a manufacturer notifies us, you will be contacted the day we receive notice of delay.
  • There is a 14-day time period to report any unusual damage to product for a remake. Please contact us with 14 days of receiving your package in order to qualify for possible product replacement.
  • We stand by our manufacturer however, in the unlikely event that we made a mistake with your product, we will replace them at no extra charge to you.
  • We reserve the right to reject any order, at our discretion.

Inspection of Merchandise

IMPORTANT: If your merchandise has been damaged in shipment, was made incorrectly, or has any manufacturer defects, notify us within 14 calendar days after delivery to your home and we’ll have the damaged merchandise either replaced at no cost to you. If you do not notify us within 14-day period, we won’t be able to do so.

Shipping Information

We want your ordering experience to be as simple as possible, which is why we offer free ground shipping to the contiguous United States. (Excludes orders over 94” width). No International shipments.

  • Hawaii and Alaska: We cannot ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
  • For oversized products (94” or over in width) there will be a $250 freight charge.
  • No shipments can be made to PO Box addresses.
  • No shipments can be made to military bases outside the continental
    United States (APO and FPO addresses).
  • Address changes are not permitted once the manufacturer has shipped you the product.
  • Multiple Shipments: we will ship your order all together to avoid any confusion with multiple tracking numbers.

Oversized Shipments

Blinds over 94” wide will ship freight via common carrier. There is a $250 charge. The carrier will call you to schedule delivery. Your package will not be delivered until you confirm a delivery date &time. If you do not schedule within 3 days of the carrier’s delivery coordination call, you’ll be charged storage fees on a per day basis. Once fees begin, 3 more contact attempts will be made before your order is destroyed. Charges will not be returned to buyer when product is destroyed.

Therefore, it is very important that you provide a good contact information when ordering, and that you answer or promptly respond to contact attempts from the freight carrier or from DIYEasyBlinds.com

We highly recommend that you inspect all oversized packages for damages.

  • Product(s) with minor (dings & dents) damage may be able to be used and should be accepted and noted.
  • There is a 14-day time period to report any unusual product for remake. Please contact us with 14 days of receiving your package if you think you need a remake.
  • If your package is too big for UPS Ground (over 94” wide), we will ship it from the manufacturer’s facility via freight carrier @ a cost of $250.
  • Customer is responsible for the disposal of all shipping and packaging materials including pallets used for large shipments.

Freight Damage and Missing Parts

Upon receiving your order please be sure to inspect boxes carefully and alert your driver to any observed damage. If you find damaged items, please do not discard the boxes! We highly encourage you to take pictures of the damage, as the carrier will likely require them to process your claim.

Please contact us within 14 calendar days of the delivery date to report any freight claims to DITEasyBlinds.com customer service.

If any parts are missing from your order (including installation materials such as screws and brackets), please contact us within 30 calendar days and we’ll ship you replacement parts.

Delivery Times

Delivery times given are estimates based on normal production and shipping times, and may vary depending on the product.

  • Estimated delivery times include working days after our receipt of your completed order and excludes weekends, holidays and factory closing days..
  • On occasion, there may also be delays caused by backordered merchandise, factories slowing or stopping production to take inventory, temporary factory overload, or other unforeseen problems.
  • Estimated delivery times may also vary during peak seasons such as holidays.
  • Estimated delivery times may vary due to weather issues.

Discontinued and/or Back Ordered Items

At times, products or colors are discontinued or placed on backorder by manufacturers we work with. We make every effort to remove discontinued items as soon as are made aware of them. Whenever we receive notice of backorder items, we will notify you immediately and give you the option to change your order.

Commercial Orders
We accept commercial orders. Any order containing 25 or more of the same product, of tax exempt status will be considered a commercial order.

Promotions and Exclusions

Promotions or Discounts – Not redeemable for cash, gift cards, gift certificates or store credit. Offer valid only while supplies last or until expiration date and is applicable to remake orders. Discount does not apply to taxes, shipping and handling charges or similar charges. Promotional offers may be modified or terminated at any time without notice.

Discount Exclusions: Stackable promotions are those that offer an additional discount incentive on top of a current valid coupon code or promotion. Limit one stackable coupon per order. Must be used in one transaction. Cannot be combined with any other stackable offers or used for previously purchased merchandise. Not redeemable for cash, gift cards, or gift certificates. Offer valid only while supplies last or until expiration date listed and are not applicable to remake orders. Discount does not apply to taxes, shipping and handling charges or similar charges.

Stackable promotions or discounts do not apply to the following sales events: Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Promotional offers may be modified or terminated at any time without notice. Only one stackable offer can be used per order.

Site Wide Sale Exclusions

Select products, at times, may be excluded from promotional discounts during a site wide sale. In this situation, a specific product or products will not display a discount when viewed and no discount will apply to the cost of an excluded item when a promotion is applied at checkout. Varying products may be excluded from a promotion at any time. Products excluded from a sale will still be visible on the website or promotional material.

Buy One, Get the Second One 50% Off Sale

Also referred to as “Buy One, Get One 50% Off” or “BOGO 50%” promotions are defined by a discount applied to a total purchase based on an order that meets the minimum number of products required for that discount. This discount always applies to the product(s) of lesser value. Customer will pay full for the higher priced product and then receive 50% off lesser priced product when the discount is applied. Where 4 or more products are purchased, the 50% discount will apply to the least expensive products ordered.

Save up to “A Specific Percent

Promotional messaging and sales that include “up to” phrasing describe a tiered sales event in which the mentioned sale items would be discounted at a percentage number within a range described in the promotion.

“Selected products” references the specific items currently on sale. Save “up to “ any percent is a general term to define the maximum discount within a range of discounts included in that sale. Products on sale can be listed at a discount anywhere between 1%-a set maximum percent off standard retail value in this example. All sale items and their individual discounts will be displayed on the website on each sale item. Promotions of this type may be for any sale percentage.

Examples:

  • Save up to 45% site wide – All items will be on sale but at different discounts ranging up to 45%.
  • Save up to 50% on selected products – Selected items on sale will vary in discounts that range up to 50% off.

Buy More, Save More

Buy more, save more promotions are defined by a tiered savings structure based on the total number of dollars spent. Typically, a certain, specific savings percentage is set for each tier in the promotion. Larger discounts are associated with a larger total number of dollars spent and smaller discounts are associated with a lower total number of dollars spent. There is always a minimum purchase amount associated with the lowest discount and discounts grow larger as the customer total increases within predetermined spending ranges.

Example: Buy $199 worth of the product and save 15% on your total purchase, buy $699 worth of product and save 20% on your total purchase, buy $999 or more of product and save 25% on your total purchase.

Also phrased as: Buy $199 Save 15%, buy $699 Save 20 %, buy $999 save 25%.
